| Journal of Engineering Geology (JoEG) is the oldest journal on the subject of engineering geology in India and perhaps the only journal in this field. It is brought out on biannual basis and carries papers on Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Geohazards (Seismology, Landslides, etc), Environment Geology, Rock Mechanics, Soil Mechanics, Groundwater contamination and Geological Engineering. It was launched in the year 1966 soon after formation of the society. Forty nine volumes of the Journal have been published till the Year 2011, the latest issue being the Volume XXXVII released in the same year. Presently preparations for releasing Volume XXXVIII for the Year 2012 are in progress. Although there is a great variety in topics of discussion, but, case studies on various aspects of major Indian river valley projects are in overwhelming majority. Endeavour is to encourage participation from mining industry, academicians and Scientific Research Institutions. Some of the major river valley projects in India that have been addressed in previous volumes of this journal include the following. |

| This site for Journal of Engineering Geology (www.joegindia.com) is being constructed with the aim of publishing the Journal online in electronic form along with publishing it as hard copy. To start with, the contents for the already published volume XXXVII released in the year 2011 are available on the home page. The facility of uploading the article by the authors is also available through this website. Journal of Engineering Geology is a peer reviewed journal. The papers are received online and sent to referees for review and comments. Thereafter, the papers are sent back to authors, if modifications are required. Subsequently corrected papers are published in the Journal. The ISSN no of the Journal is 0970-5317. |
